Out to the movies

Who wants to go see a new movie?
The answer?

This guy! :)

Megamind is currently at the top of the box office and I have yet to go see it! Let's all go to the movies, I'll meet you there. ;)
A operative who has finally gotten around to getting photographic evidence of his good deeds has sent a couple my way. I'd like to share this mission with you.

Location: Idaho Falls Grand Teton Mall
Date and Time: Tuesday, November 16th, 2010
Between the hours of 2 and 8 pm.

Operative J signing in...

Safely secured gift card from Edwards theatre and made a note meant to inspire.

With these kind words I quickly made it into the mall, snapped the picture, and left.

All within a blink of an eye.
;)

It sounds like someone is going to the movie, and who knows? Maybe spreading more kindness? That's a win-win situation in my book.

You gotta Jamba!

With being sick and all, I haven't had much time to post new stuff onto the blog, but when I saw this email from Operative Dark, I knew I had to post it. It has a Jamba Juice theme, and its exactly the kind of thing I love to drink when I'm sick or feeling down.

Operative Dark signing in...

Today's mission centers around that oh-so-delicious place called Jamba Juice.

I purchased a gift card while buying myself a treat a couple of days ago with the intent of using the card immediately for a random act of kindness. I could not foresee that procrastination would take hold.

After making my nice note with one of my favorite quotes.
"Go out on a limb, that's where the fruit is"
I used some origami skills and made a nice little package.

Now I just needed a place to put it.
Seeing how I live pretty close to a technical college, I decided that would be a good place to sneak in, pretend to be a student, and place my package.

So I snuck into the Medical building and dodged security. Close call...

I found a convinent corner upstairs where they have chairs for students to relax and study.

I placed my package, and disappeared!

It made me feel good, I hope someone finds it. :)

Well, I would certainly love a gift card to jamba. That would make my day instantly! Thank you Operative Dark. As a side note, some of you might of noticed that Operative Green is no longer with us due to distance problems. We wish Operative Green the best.

Speaking the chocolate tongue.

When you start being kind, you realize you want to see all the other kindness in the world and inspire yourself with it. At least thats what happened to me. Melissa from Operation NICE assigns NICE assignments for people to do, and this one caught my eye. Say it with chocolate she says. Who doesn't love chocolate, especially when stressed or overworked? So we responded to the chocolate assignment, cause after all, I needed some chocolate for myself. ;)

Lord Mr. Nice Guy reporting in...

We have secured our chocolate shipment early this morning
(2:30 a.m)
Where could I leave this abundance of chocolate to make someone's(possibly more then just one someone)
day?

During my surveillance I discovered that parks are often a place where people go to relax and spend time with families. What a perfect place to make a smile happen.

Package placed
(3:00 a.m)

A very quick picture had to be taken for fear of someone watching me. (It was just eerie noises in the night)

When someone sits and looks down, they will find a chocolaty surprise. :)

You just got schooled.

Hello readers, today we have a unique kind RAK from the same two operatives. Got to love their commitment. :)

Operative Dark reporting in

All 8 packages were secured early this morning.
Packages include...
3 Pens
2 Reeses peanut butter cups
1 pack of gum
and
1 poem made while we were very tired
(So pretty silly :)

and all sealed in a plastic bag, cause you never know when idaho falls could get rainy.

We placed 2 at each high school in our town.
First we went to Hillcrest High school, placed this first one in a tree.
Hopefully obvious.
Second one was placed on a window sill. Hopefully less obvious. :P
We couldn't get around to the other side of the school due to bread truck patroling. We had to sneak our way out of that situation.

Next we went to Bonneville High School, which my picture taking device died for. Regardless to say both packages were left in pretty obvious areas for the students to pick up.

We had to charge said picture taking device...

*Charging*

......

Next we went to Skyline High school with charged device and ready to go.
Here we even got the "grizz" in the picture. :)
Can you see the package?
Its on the right side on the bench.
We left the other one at Skyline very close to this one, since we saw what we thought were cop lights. We didn't want to be questioned about our mission, so we left in a real big hurry.

Last but not least we went to Idaho Falls High School.
Right when i started taking crappy pictures. Haha :).
The package is in the fence on the right side, some student going out this way should easily see it poking out and saying HEY!
This one is left on a window sill again. A little more hidden and won't be found by the first person that goes on by.
Although... its really not THAT hidden. :)

Well that was our mission, to hopefully make some high school student's day better.

When I was a high school student, you could never have too many pens. You always lost them to someone else, they exploded, or you just plain lost them. Plus the chocolate, gum, and nice poem, it would be enough to make me smile for a day. Great job Operatives.

You've got to be lion to me.

No seriously. We did it. :). No huge pun intended. We finally have a RAK from two of our operatives in the field. We have to say, we are proud to get this ball rolling a little. Lets shove it down a hill, shall we? :)

Operative Dark reporting in.

We have successfully secured the package.

Package contains...
1 stuffed lion key chain
2 Snickers
and...
1 nice poem :).

We have placed these items in a local neighbor hood park called Shamrock Park. (Maybe its lucky ;)
Just thinking about who is going to find this once morning rolls around gives us goosebumps. You'll hear from us again.

Well done operatives. Surely whoever shall find that package will be bewildered but enjoys your nice poem. We leave you till next time. Remember to be kind. :)

Starting out

We are a new group called Benevolent Benefaction. Let me be the first to say Hi! How are you? Hope your day is going along swimingly! :)

Our group is designed to spread kindness. With kindness comes happiness. Who could want anything different?

Ever had a bad day and had one little thing someone did for you turned it around? It never has to be big but yet it always seems to make you smile and once you smile, you can't stop. Its contagious and we want everyone to catch it!

We are also keeping secret the identities of everyone involved in our group, even to most members of our group! This is happening because it doesn't matter who does the kindness... just the fact that its done is enough. Whether its your brother or that mean looking bum doing something nice, it should be treated the same. Hopefully you will want to spread kindness after someone has spread it to you. We want this idea to catch like wildfire.

Seeing alot of the kindness organizations online really has inspired us to want to do more and even publish this blog. Our number one person to inspire us right now would have to be Secret Agent L. She is constantly leaving things for people to find and brighten up their day. Go look at her blog.  She seems like quite the amazing woman.

Please feel free to comment about what you think. We are always happy to hear what you think and ideas! :)

Sincerely,
  Benevolent Benefaction
